About the AI
How Akoko uses AI, and its limits
This is AI and can make mistakes
Check answers before you act on them.
Where AI is used
Only these three. Everything else is plain maths on your data.
- The assistantAnswers plain-language questions about your portfolio and spending.Generates text
- Portfolio suggestionsProposes a starting mix from your risk, currency and region answers.Generates a recommendation
- Statement importsReads an uploaded file and guesses a category for each transaction.Generates a category guess
What it can get wrong
- It can misread a number, a date or a merchant name on an imported statement.
- It can sound sure and still be wrong.
- It does not know anything you haven't recorded in Akoko, and it isn't live market research.
- It is not a licensed financial adviser, and nothing it says is financial advice.
What it will never do
- No decisions made for youNothing is bought, sold, saved or settled by the AI. Every suggestion waits for you to confirm it.
- Always labelledAnything AI-generated carries a dashed outline and a label. Your own confirmed data never does.
